Avocado Egg Salad | Shulman Weightloss

Creamy avocado egg salad 


  • 6 large eggs 
  • 2 avocados, diced 
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • ¼ cup red onion, diced
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt 
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper 


  1. Add eggs into pot with water and bring to a boil. Boil for 10 minutes. Run eggs under cold water. Peel and dice the boiled eggs and place in a medium bowl.
  2. Add the avocado to the eggs and stir.
  3. Add the lemon, onion, sea salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.
  4. Serve shortly after preparing.

Gut nourishing smoothieGut Nourishing Smoothie | Shulman Weightloss


  • 1 scoop of protein powder (unflavored or vanilla)
  • 1 cup coconut water
  • ½ cup pineapple pieces 
  • ½ banana 
  • 1 tablespoon ground flax seeds
  • 1 cup of arugula
  • 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped 


  1. Add all ingredients into blender and blend on high until combined and smooth.

Serves 1

Detox Red Lentil Soup | Shulman Weightloss

Detox red lentil veggie soup


  • 1 cup red lentils
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • ½ cup onion, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 4 cups of low sodium vegetable broth 
  • 1 sweet potato, chopped
  • 2 medium carrots, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped


  1. Soak lentils in cold water for 30 minutes. Rinse well. 
  2. In a large saucepan, add the oil, onion and garlic and cook for 5-7 minutes over medium heat. 
  3. Add the vegetable broth, rinsed lentils, sweet potato, carrots, sea salt and parsley. Stir well to combine.
  4. Bring soup to a boil over high heat and mix well.  Reduce heat and simmer on low for 30 minutes, covered. Stir every 5-10 minutes.  
  5. Allow soup to cool slightly and enjoy!

Blackened Seared Chicken| Shulman Weightloss

Blackened seared chicken


  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/8 teaspoon sea salt 
  • ¼ teaspoon dried thyme 
  • ¼ teaspoon dried basil
  • ½ teaspoon oregano
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 4 organic chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil 


  1. Preheat oven to 450 F.
  2. In a small bowl, add the cayenne pepper, paprika, sea salt, thyme, basil, oregano, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. Mix together.  
  3. Heat a cast iron pan over high heat until you can see smoke. 
  4. Place chicken on large plate and coat with olive oil. Season with half the mixture and flip chicken over. Season other side with the remaining half of the seasoning. 
  5. Add chicken onto cast iron pan for 1 minute and flip. Sear other side of chicken for a minute and place cast iron into oven. Cook for 18-20 minutes, until chicken is cooked through and no longer pink. Enjoy with a salad and greens!
