Healthy Tahini Salad Dressing - 3 ways!

We LOVE tahini over here at Shulman Health & Weight Loss. Tahini is made from grinding sesame seeds into a smooth paste and it is a staple in many cuisines. We love incorporating it in salad dressings to get in a serving of healthy fats which is an important component of a well-rounded healthy diet.
Here are our 3 favourite tahini-based homemade salad dressing recipes...
Simple Tahini Salad Dressing
2-3 tablespoons tahini
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 lemon (juiced)
2 tablespoons of water
1 teaspoon turmeric
1 handful cut up shallots
Whisk all ingredients together until incorporated and store in fridge until ready to use. This dressing will keep in the fridge for about a week.
Curry Tahini Dressing
- 1/4 cup tahini
1/2 lemon (juiced)
1 teaspoon yellow curry powder
1 clove garlic (minced)
1/2 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
1 teaspoon pure maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
Salt & pepper (to taste)
3 tablespoons warm water (to thin dressing)
Add all ingredients to a mason jar (or another glass jar) and shake until ingredients are incorporated. This dressing will store well in the fridge for about a week.
Dill Tahini Dressing
- 1/2 cup tahini
- 1/2 cup water (plus more if you like your dressing thinner)
- 1 clove garlic
- Juice of one lemon (about 1/4 cup)
- 1/2 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup lightly packed fresh dill
Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth and creamy! Store in the fridge for 3-5 days.
